8 Animators, Selick Invited to Join Academy

Eight animators and Coraline director Henry Selick are among the 134 people working in motion pictures who have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The invitees who accept the Academy’s offer will be welcomed with a special reception to be held in September.

The invited animators are: J.J. Blumenkranz,

Selick was invited to join as a director.
