Warner Bros.’ live action and CG animation hybrid feature adaptation of Yogi Bear is picking up cast members more quickly than pic-a-nic baskets.
The studio is reportedly in talks with Dan Aykroyd to provide the voice of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon star, with Anna Faris set to perform on the live-action end of things as a documentary filmmaker. Justin Timberlake also is circling the project as the voice of Boo Boo, Yogi’s little buddy.
Eric Brevig is set to direct the film from a script by Brad Copeland, who reworked an earlier draft by Joshua Stern and Jeff Vintimilia.
The studio is looking to start filming the movie in New Zealand next month.
