The
Incredibles (Disney/Pixar)
Directed by Brad Bird (The Iron Giant, TVs The
Simpsons), The Incredibles is the story of a family
of undercover superheroes trying to live a quiet, suburban life
when they are forced back into action in order to save the world.
Craig T. Nelson (Poltergeist, TVs Coach,)
stars as the voice of Mr. Incredible and Holly Hunter (Thirteen,
Raising Arizona) as his wife, Elastigirl. Author and NPR
contributor Sarah Vowell lends her voice to incredible daughter
Violet, and Daryl Sabara Jr. from the Spy Kids movies plays
her speedy brother, Dash. Samuel L. Jackson and Jason lee also
bring star power to the voice cast. Brad Bird himself provides
the voice of one of the films funniest characters, Edna
E Mode.

Shark
Tale (DreamWorks)
Directed by Shrek helmer Vicky Jensen, animator Bibo
Bergeron (The Adventures of Pinocchio, A Goofy Movie)
and writer Rob Letterman, Shark Tale evokes classic mob
movies to tell the story of a fish named Oscar (Will Smith), who
finds himself in deep water when he takes credit for killing the
son of shark mafia boss Don Lino (Robert De Niro). The cast also
includes Oscar winners Renée Zellweger and Angelina Jolie,
hot property Jack Black, director Martin Scorsese, TV icon Peter
Falk and Sopranos stars Michael Imperioli and Vincent Pastore.
Shark Tale is the first completely 3D feature produced at
DreamWorks Glendale, Calif. facility.

Shrek
2 (DreamWorks)
Directed by Andrew Adamson, Kelly Asbury and Conrad Vernon,
Shrek 2 picks up the story as Shrek (Mike Myers) and Princess
Fiona (Cameron Diaz) return from their honeymoon to find an invitation
to visit Fiona's parents (John Cleese and Julie Andrews), the
King and Queen of the Kingdom of Far, Far Away. With Donkey (Eddie
Murphy) in tow, the newlyweds set off on an adventure that becomes
complicated when the King enlists a powerful Fairy Godmother (Jennifer
Saunders), the handsome Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) and famed
ogre killer Puss In Boots (Antonio Banderas) to end what he sees
as a marriage of inconvenience. The hugely successful Shrek
franchise is based on the childrens book of the same name
by William Steig. The movie was 2004's top grossing movie at
the box office.
The 2004 Academy Awards will then be presented on Sunday, Feb.
27, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. ABC will televise the ceremony
live beginning at 5 p.m. PST.
