We understand that Robert Zemeckis hasn’t been giving any interviews for his upcoming A Christmas Carol movie. What is your take on this new take on the Dickens’ classic? Are you excited to see this performance-capture movie which relies on Jim Carrey’s theatrics or are you going to pass?

Jim Carrey + Performance Capture= Big Screen Nightmare
You\\\'d have to pay ME 14 dollars to sit through that crapfest. Remember when Zemeckis made good movies? What happened to him?

Somebody please make Zemeckis stop!!! His movies make my eyes bleed and my soul shrink. The new Scrooge wins the year\'s UGLIEST character design...Maybe they should just show Mr. Magoo\'s Christmas Special instead!!!

Give me The Muppet Christmas Carol or Mickey\\\'s Christmas Carol over this mo-cap crap ANY DAY, PLEASE...
Mr, Zemeckis, can you please go back to directing live-action movies? Your faux animation movies turn our stomachs and ruin our eyes.

While I really enjoy the performance capture technology, I do feel that Jim Carey is a poor choice.
To Mauro: I think Scrooge\'s appearance is a great ugly. He\'s old, angry, and his skin is covered in white hairs and sunspots. After all, Scrooge isn\'t suppose to be a dreamboat.
I will see this movie because it\'s one of my favorite stories and my second favorite form of animation. I just hope that Jim Carey doesn\'t overdo the characters and keeps them elegant (much like Tom Hanks did in \"The Polar Express\").

This sounds like a must miss. Next up Zemeckis must do a 3D mocap Bernie Madoff prison film. If he does not get a greenlight to do 3D anal rape in Hollywood he is not trying.

Well, as i was watching through the trailer, all I saw was a really old Jim Carrey flying through the scenes! A, \"whoooaoaaa!\" here and a ,\"whooooooaaaoaoa!!\",there. And I ask myself, why should I see this? I\'ll just wait and hear what the initial group of people will say about it. : /

Saw the trailer and was not impressed. Taking a Holiday classic like Christmas Carol and bastardizing it into a 3D mess is sacrilege. If you want to do a remake stick to what you know and get out of the animation arena.

I wasn\'t impressed by the animation so much as with Jim Carrey\'s acting. I\'m not excited about it but find some segments fun. The problem I think is it will end up being a spectacle movie more than a holiday classic. Just by impression it looks like Polar Express did a better job of it. But we\'ll see when Christmas Carol comes out.

I can\'t watch another Christmas Carol remake no mater who stars or directs.

I\'ve seen a 3D preview during the Disney Christmas Carol train tour, and the movie looks great. I\'m looking forward to seeing the film in IMAX 3D. Too bad this venue has given so many a chance to take cheap shots at this film 3D sight unseen. Disney has put a lot of great work into it, and I believe it will be both fun, and relatively true to the Dickens\' classic.

Muppets Christmas Carol was the best followed by Mickey\\\'s Christmas Carol
But lets all just read the book and stop remaking this Dickens tale, he did write other Christmas stories!

If the commercials are any example of the movie, its going to be 2 hours of Jim Carrey screaming and Scrooge falling, sliding, crashing, getting hit, stuff dumped on and pummeled. I\'d prefer seeing \"Scrooged\", at least Bill Murray and Carol Kane are funny.

This form of animation really creeps me out.

\"Scrooged\" was a good film until Murray\'s ridiculous quote from \"Little Shop of Horrors\" that had no meaning. For a great take on \"A Christmas Carol\" you can\'t beat \"Scrooge\" starring Albert Finney, which came out in the early 70\'s. Great Bricusse music, and wonderful cinematography.
