Codename: Kids Next Door Goes Into Action

Codename: Kids Next Door, a new animated action-comedy series about five 10-year-olds who fight against the forces of tyrannical adults, will premiere on Friday, Dec. 6, at 7:00 p.m. (ET, PT) on Cartoon Network with an encore presentation at 10 p.m. (ET, PT). The show was greenlit to join the cable outlet’s line-up by viewers through an online vote.

Armed with vehicles that would make James Bond jealous, the KND operatives relentlessly defend the rights of kids everywhere by going head-to-head with ruthless grown-up villains such as Knightbrace, the demented dental avenger; Gramma Stuffum, who maniacally forces meals on unsuspecting kids; and a ship of Candy Pirates.

The series was created by award-winning animator Tom Warburton, who developed Cartoon Network’s Sheep in the Big City. He has also worked with J.J. Sedelmaier Productions on television projects for shows like Saturday Night Live and Schoolhouse Rock.
