Turbo Squid Gets Jiggy at SIGGY

Turbo Squid, the exclusive publisher and worldwide distributor of the Discreet-certified 3ds max plug-in program, has announced the release of Turbo Toolkit, a suite of eight premium 3ds max add-ons. Product debuts at SIGGRAPH 2003 this week.

“To celebrate Turbo Squid’s third anniversary, we wanted to offer our customers a unique opportunity,” says Dan Lion, Squid’s vice president of sales and marketing. “The Turbo Toolkit is just that. Eight premium tools for a fraction of their individual prices.”

Purchased separately the products sell for nearly $4000 US. The Turbo Toolkit is being offered for $1695 US until Aug. 31, 2003. The toolkit includes the following Discreet 3ds max Certified Plug-ins: finalRender, Stage-1, from cebas Computer GmbH, a new 64-bit rendering solution; AfterBurn3, from Sitni Sati, a particle effects solution; DreamScape2, from Sitni Sati, an integrated suite of modeling and animation tools; HumanIK from Kaydara, character animation and rigging tools; Kaldera, from Mankua

Kaldera, a plug-in that lets users render full scene information into special texture maps based on an object’s appearance and relationship between itself and other objects in the scene; ACT 1.6 PRO, “the world’s finest” muscle and skin system available; finalToon, from cebas Computer GmbH, both a cartoon renderer and a technical illustrator; and, finally, Texture Layers, from Mankua, a mapping and texturing suite composed of two different 3ds max plug-ins.
