Not content just to be a niche Goth-rocker and film director, Rob Zombie is out to conquer new formats.
In a deal with MVCreations and CrossGen Entertainment, Zombie is launching the horror-based comic book series Rob Zombie’s Spook Show International. The first issue, due out just in time for Halloween 2003, includes four stories written by Zombie. They are targeted, not too surprisingly, at mature audiences. In one of the tales, the evil Zombie is freed from his eternal slumber, according to CrossGen spokesman Tony Panaccio. In a nod to cross-platforming and re-purposing, other initial stories are to be taken from the back story to Zombie’s movie House of 1000 Corpses.
