RoboDemo is a handy tutorial/ demo-creation software that enables users to make tutorials for other software packages in Flash format. It basically records the steps you take in any application, while you’re using it. You choose the recording size (Application, Custom, Full Screen or Pocket PC), and start recording by clicking either start or an assigned shortcut key. RoboDemo takes a screen shot every time an action takes place. Then, after you’re done, it displays all the frames as thumbnails.
It’s now time to edit your piece. If you chose the ‘Automatically Insert Text Captions’ option, you can see captions in your frames that have been added automatically. You also have the option of adding your own captions easily. The timing of the frames can also be modified. You may add different rollover effects. The software also includes a Quiz option that allows users to create quiz frames which will either reward students or prevent them from progressing. Details like doubling the mouse size, setting an expiration date for your movies, and changing the style and position of the playback controls makes this software a dynamite addition to any system.
