Nickelodeon Unleashes "Shriek Week"

A whole week of Halloween specials kicks off on Monday, Oct. 27 as Nickelodeon presents "Shriek Week". The on-air celebration will feature spooky premieres of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, ChalkZone, Dora the Explorer and Max & Ruby, capped off by a day-long marathon on Halloween day.

Each night, viewers will be treated to an hour of primetime thrills and chills beginning at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). The Fairly OddParents gets the heads rolling with "Scary GodParents" on Monday, Oct. 27. On Tuesday, Jimmy Neutron has a "Nightmare in Retroville," followed by SpongeBob SquarePants in "Scaredy Pants." ChalkZone spreads some "Pumpkin Love" on Thursday and each night, Nick will premiere Sabrina the Teenage Witch holiday episodes to cap off the hour at 8:30 p.m.

"Nightmare in Retroville" finds Jimmy Neutron desperately trying to reverse the effects of his latest invention, the neutronic monster maker, after he transforms pals Carl and Sheen into a vampire and werewolf for Halloween and they wind up wreaking havoc on Retroville.

In "Pumpkin Love/Snap’s Nightmare" Rudy uses ChalkZone to sneak his award-worthy “Jill-o-Lantern” to the pumpkin contest, but evil pumpkin-headed rock star Jack-O (voiced by Tim Curry) falls in love with Jill and kidnaps her.

The frights aren’t only happening at night. On Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT, the all-new Dora the Explorer episode "Boo!" has the title character and pal Boots ridig a broomstick through the Good Witch’s forest. Young kids can also catch premiere of the Max & Ruby installment "Max’s Halloween" on Friday, Oct. 31 at 9:30 a.m. ET/PT. Ruby coaxes Max to be a Little Prince to her Cinderella for Halloween, but he has other plans involvig a Vampire costume. Nick Jr. holiday specials will also rule the Halloween Day schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET/PT.
