mental images Visualizes Gary Yost as Exec VP

3D visualization software creator mental images announced today the appointment of Gary Yost as the company’s new exec VP of and head of U.S. operations. Beatriz Hubert, formerly senior manager of strategic alliences for Advanced Micro Devices was also, also joins the company as director of business development, assisting Yost in supporting and expanding mental images’ U.S. presence.

Yost holds eight patents in the field of interactive computer graphics and animation, and has a wide range of experience in the creation of engineering teams, analyzing costumer requirements, and managing the specification and development of computer graphics software. He is widely credited for his leadership in the creation of 3ds max, the first Windows-based professional 3D content creation system that has since held the position of the mostly widely used 3D production system worldwide. Yost also created the CAD-3D for the Atari ST, the first open-architecture 3D animation system, and Autodesk 3D Studio, the first affordable 3D modeling and animation system for the PC. As exec VP of mental images, Yost will manage the company’s U.S. operations and spearhead new business development campaigns.
