French producer Antefilms Production and youth producer and distributor France Animation are launching Moonscoop. The new joint distribution brand will combine the respective sales slates to create a catalogue of more than 1,600 half hours of programming including popular titles such as Funky Cops, Little Vampire and Titeuf, as well as the new show Code Lyoko.
The deal follows the acquisition of France Animation by Antefilms last year. Both companies will retain their respective editorial policies and productions while a dedicated marketing division builds Moonscoop’s international presence.
Moonscoop will launch at MIPTV and will be overseen by Benoît di Sabatino, co-CEO of Antefilms. France Animation’s Lionel Marty has been appointed head of distribution and will be responsible for all French and German speaking territories, Italy, Spain, the U.K., North America and Asia. Sales manager Marie Conge will oversee South America, Scandinavia, Benelux, Greece, Turkey, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
