Cartoon Saloon, Telescreen Smell Success in Skunk

After shopping its property, Skunk, at Cartoon Forum 2003, Cartoon Saloon has secured a production partner in Telescreen. The two companies are teaming up to produce the 26×30 series about a skunk who must become a Kung Fu master to protect his home and friends.

The series is based upon an original idea by Aidan Harte and Hyun-Ho Khang and further developed by Cartoon Saloon. The title character is a skunk who was mistakenly delivered via stork to a Panda Bear living in a Chinese forest. When the forest comes under attack by a Dragon and his army of Ninja monkeys, Skunk learns that he just may be the one chosen to restore peace and order.

Cartoon Saloon will be the lead studio on Skunk, the company’s first foray into series production after a number of service work contracts, short film successes and TV commercials. Telescreen will handle all rights exploitation. Production is scheduled to start this summer.
