CBS Sunday Morning Cartoons

This Sunday, CBS News Sunday Morning is scheduled to broadcast a segment on the current state of the animation industry. The report will feature interviews with a number of key talents in the industry and an inside look at the studios at J. J. Sedelmaier Prods.

J.J. Sedelmaier, whose company is best known for producing edgy cartoons for the Saturday TV Funhouse segment of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, will be representing the traditional 2D side of the business and will address trends in animation for television. The segment was produced by Ed Forgotson, Jr., who spent a half-day with a camera crew at the White Plains studios of J. J. Sedelmaier Prods. last week.

Also featured in the piece will be animator and illustrator Gary Baseman, who’s new animated feature film, Teacher’s Pet, was recently released by Disney, as well as a representative from Pixar and other authorities on the animation industry.
