Lost Skeleton Found in Theaters

Opening in limited release today is The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, TriStar Pictures’ comic send up of classic B-movies by the likes of Roger Corman and Ed Wood. The feature is accompanied by the technicolor Ub Iwerks animated short Skeleton Frolic.

Appropriately filmed in black and white and set in the year 1961, Lost Skeleton follows Dr. Paul Armstrong (Larry Blamire) and wife Betty (Fay Masterson) as they head into the mountains in search of a fallen meteor containing the rare element, atmosphereum. A cast of wacky characters comes out of the woodworks, as do some menacing space aliens and the fabled Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, who wants to rule the world.

The film is rated PG for brief language and is playing at the Nuart Theater in Los Angeles through Feb. 20. Check out the official web site at http://sonypictures.com/movies/thelostskeletonofcadavra.
