More Franny’s Feet, King on Order From DECODE

Canada’s DECODE Ent. will produce second seasons of two of its popular animated series. The preschool hit Franny’s Feet and the 2D adventure show King(kids six-11) have been renewed by various international broadcasters.

Five in the U.K. and The Family Channel in Canada have ordered an additional 26 episodes of Franny’s Feet. The first season has also been snapped up worldwide with recent sales to POGO (recently launched by Turner Entertainment Network Asia) in India and ATV in Hong Kong. Korea’s C4U Ent. has also acquired television and home video rights. Franny’s journeys also air on Discovery U.K., ABC in Australia, France 5, Teletoon in France and Canada’s TeleQuebec.

Each episode of Franny’s Feet sees the title walking a mile in someone else’s shoes. For instance, a pair of fisherman’s boots land her on a fishing trawler in the middle of the Atlantic and a set of ballet slippers spin her right into the middle of a performance of Swan Lake at the Bolshoi.

King has been recommissioned for another 26 episodes by Canada’s The Family Channel. The show follows the adventures of Russell, a boy whose world is turned upside down as he discovers under his bed a portal that leads to a kingdom where he is king. The co-production between DECODE and Funbag Prods. has been sold worldwide to broadcasters including ABC Australia and TVB Pay TV in Hong Kong.

DECODE partner Neil Court comments, "We’re delighted to achieve these renewals across our slate in both animation and live action. Longevity is a great test for kids programmers and these deals show we’re really tapping in to what kids of all ages want to watch."

Franny’s Feet, King and DECODE’s live-action teen series Radio Free Roscoe will be available at MIPTV.
