Ub Soft’s Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, the highly anticipated follow-up to one of 2002’s biggest video game titles, will feature star power from the world of film and TV. Actor Dennis Haysbert (TV’s 24, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas), actor Michael Ironside (Starship Troopers, TV’s V) and composer Lalo Shifrin (Lilo & Stitch) will lend their talents to the stealth-action game due out in March.
Returning to the audio booth after his voice-acting turn as Kale in DreamWorks’ animated Sinbad, Haysbert plays the role of Irving Lambert in the game. Lambert is Sam Fisher’s supervisor and colleague who provides direction to the lone agent from Third Echelon headquarters deep within the NSA. “Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow unfolds just like a movie," says Haysbert. "It’s a conspiracy-ridden storyline that explores the shadowy world of international espionage. With its stunning visuals and strong use of light and shadows it looks like a movie, too. I can’t wait to play it with my son!”
Ironside reprises his role as Sam Fisher, the tough-as-nails cloak-and-dagger man that fans came to love in the first Splinter Cell game. The hard-working character actor has been seen in countless films including Top Gun and Scanners.
Though he has more than 184 film credits under his belt, Shifrin is perhaps best known as the creator of the Mission: Impossible theme song. Animation fans will also know his work from the Disney hit Lilo & Stitch, the video follow-up Lilo & Stitch’s Island Adventures and Lilo & Stitch: The Series.
Pandora Tomorrow debuted in January at a VIP event coinciding with the Sundance Film Festival and was recently featured in MTV’s Ultimate Video Game Countdown.
