SquarePants TV Games Make Retail Rounds

Next-generation consoles may be all the rage, but the simplicity and affordability of plug-and-play TV game units is driving sales and attracting major franchises like SpongeBob SquarePants. JAKKS Pacific Inc. has announced the release of its TV Games based on Nickelodeon’s hit animated series for kids 2-11.

Like JAKKs’ popular game unit that contains 10 classic Atari arcade games in a single joystick, the SpongeBob version holds five unique games in a hand controller that looks like the show’s title yellow sea sponge.

The SpongeBob SquarePants TV Games unit retails for approximately $20 and is now available at Wal-Mart stores.
