SpongeBob Goes 4-D

This spring, SpongeBob SquarePants will branch out from Bikini Bottom and take up residence in the Lone Star state. Following Shrek’s lead, the popular Nickelodeon cartoon character will have his own 4-D amusement park attraction at Six Flags Over Texas.

Created by SimEx-Iwerks, SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D is a new motion-simulator experience that will integrate animation with a variety of multi-sensory effects. Six Flags Over Texas is the franchise’s first park in North America to install a SimEx-Iwerks 3D/4D effects theater.
