DECODE Ent.’s 3D-animated preschool series The Save-Ums! is about to get more exposure in France. Broadcaster France 5 has acquired the first season, consisting of 26 half-hour installments, for air this month. The CG-animated series already airs on French preschool channel TiJi, which has committed to an additional 13 episodes based on prior ratings success.
The Save-Ums! employs tiny animated action heroes to help prepare preschoolers for their role in the 21st century. From Save-Ums Central, an adventure compound by the sea, the Save-Ums monitor the sky, the land, the sea and even outer space in order to provide help to creatures in need.
The series is commissioned by Discovery’s The Learning Channel and Discovery Kids in the U.S., and by the CBC in Canada where it is the number one preschool series with kids 2-5.
Super RTL recently acquired 26 episodes of The Save-Ums!, which has also sold to FIVE in the U.K. The show is the top-rated network preschool series in Brazil and Chile and ranks among the top three in Argentina, Venezuela and Mexico on Discovery Latin America.
