Independent home video entertainment and brand management company FUNimation Prods. Ltd. announced the creation of Our Time Family Entertainment (www.ourtime.tv), a new division developed to provide entertainment properties to the preschool and children’s market.
With distribution licenses already in place, Our Time Family Entertainment releases will feature such well-known programs as the Emmy Award-winning PBS series Arthur, Noggin’s Connie the Cow, the classic movie Little Nemo: Adventure in Slumberland, the home video series Friendship Collection and a group of holiday titles including Santa Claus Brothers, Wobots and Noël Noël.
FUNimation is also co-producing a new preschool property with Boston-based WGBH, one of the main producers of PBS primetime and web programming. Titled Time Warp Trio, the animated series is based on the best-selling books of the same name. The brand will be distributed and managed under Our Time Family Entertainment.
Titles will begin rolling out to retail under the Our Time Family Entertainment banner on Sept. 7. The releases will include educational extras such as caregiver guides, activities and games produced in cooperation with industry experts.
