Die-hard fans of Seth McFarlanes Family Guy series are already familiar with a controversial episode titled "When You Wish Upon A Weinstein." The episode, which pokes fun at Jewish stereotypes, has been included on the DVD and has aired twice on Cartoon Network without drawing complaints from viewers. Thats why the folks at Fox Broadcasting have decided to take the chance and air the episode on December 10 at 9:30 p.m.
According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, viewers will see one slight alteration in the content. The new militant FCC regime could be responsible for a lyric change in the episode. During a song number called "I Need a Jew," Peter will now sing "I dont think they killed our Lord" instead of the original "Even though they killed our Lord." Surely, we can all thank the new militant FCC climate for this mind-boggling editing job.
Fox has ordered 22 new episodes of the McFarlanes Family Guy and also plans to unveil American Dad, a new series show by the creator in spring of 2005. Reportedly, the new toon centers on a right-leaning CIA agent and his wife, their two kids, a housebound alien named Roger and a French-speaking goldfish.
