VGI Ent. has presold its new animated preschool series, Blanche, to Cartoon Network U.K. Set to debut later this year, the 2D-animated show features a cast of 15 extraordinary animals, including the title character, a sheep with leadership skills. Blanche’s friends include a vegetarian lion named Leonard and a miserable pigbat named Sgrumfy, and together they do their best to abide by the only law of nature, which is to have fun.
The quirky 26×6 show has also been presold to France 5, RAI in Italy, RTE in Ireland, TV2 in Norway, YLE in Finland IBC in Iceland, ATV in Hong Kong, EBS in Korea and SABC in South Africa. According to VGI, the property has sparked additional interest in the U.S., Germany and Japan.
