Star Farms’ popular pranksters Edgar & Ellen are ready for their ghoulish close-ups on Nicktoons this fall. The mischievous twins get two special back-to-back premiere episodes on Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. Based on the best-selling book series from Simon & Schuster, the series follows the adventures of the ‘brother-and-sister scheme team’ in their sleepy town of Nod’s Limb.
A half-hour Halloween special titled ‘Trick or Twins’ will have its premiere on Nickelodeon, followed by an airdate on Nicktoons Oct. 28 at 8:30 p.m., preceded by an all new episode ‘To the Moon/A Midsummer’s Nightmare’ at 8 p.m. The series will then settle in its regular Nicktoons timeslot of Sundays at 8 p.m.
The series’ creative producer is Emmy-winning director/producer Jon McClenahan, who has directed several episodes of Animaniacs and Tiny Toons. Produced by Star Farm and Bardel Entertainment, Produced by Star Farm and Bardel Entertainment, Edgar & Ellen has a unique online component. Each episode of the series features a two-minute segment inspired by a fan. Viewers are invited to log on to www.edgarandellen.com where they have the opportunity to submit storylines before the show is produced.
For the month of October, Edgar & Ellen episodes and short-form videos will stream on Video-on-Demand and Edgar & Ellen shorts will be available on TurboNick, Nickelodeon’s broadband video service on www.nick.com. Plus, fans can log on to nicktoonsnetwork.com to play Edgar & Ellen-themed games, check out clips and sneak-peeks of the series and download Edgar & Ellen‘themed content.
In support of the premiere, Nicktoons Network is offering ‘Party In A Box’ sweepstakes through October 7. Fans can enter the sweepstakes by logging on nicktoonsnetwork.com. Ten Grand Prize winners will receive all the necessary accoutrements to throw a ‘spooktacular’ Edgar & Ellen viewing party, including plates, cups, decorations, novelty items, an Edgar & Ellen DVD and more.
