There’s plenty of TV animation to be found in this week’s batch of home video releases as Tom and Jerry Tales Vol. 3, Super Mario Bros. & Sonic the Hedgehog Gift Set and Highlander: The Complete Animated Series arrive at retail today.
Tom and Jerry Tales Vol. 3 offers four episodes and a bonus installment of the new series from Warner Bros. Animation. The famous cat-and-mouse duo are p to their old tricks in a total of 15 cartoons that have the classic characters involved in crazy capers with dimwitted dinosaurs, cranky cavemen, robot cats, oddball aliens, ghastly ghosts and other outrageous characters. The disc lists for
$14.98, and will be followed by a fourth volume in March of 2008.
The Super Mario Bros. & Sonic the Hedgehog Gift Set from Shout! Factory arrives on seven discs offering all episodes of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog. The series follow the zany adventures of the popular video-game characters and come packaged together for the list price of $54.99
Highlander: The Complete Animated Series is a four-disc set featuring all episodes of BKN’s treatment of the cult-favorite film saga about immortal warriors who walk the Earth in search of the ultimate prize. The show takes place seven hundred years after the Great Catastrophe and finds the post-apocalyptic world ruled by an evil Immortal named Kortan. He is challenged by Quentin MacLeod, a young Immortal determined to save the human race and restore peace to the world. The set lists for $25.95.
