Online animation destination Aniboom (aniboom.com) has added five new major web-based video platforms to its growing network of branded internet channels. The company has struck partnerships with Dailymotion, Metacafe, Veoh Networks, blip.TV and blinkx, effectively bringing its animated content to an online audience of more than 140 million viewers.
‘Aniboom’s branded online channels are the true backbone of our business,’ says Aniboom founder and president Uri Shinar. ‘They allow us to deliver the original content coming out of our creators’ community to millions of viewers wherever they want to view it. They broaden our viewer community which also acts as our focus group, taking the guesswork out of creating new content for cross platform distribution. They also increase the potential revenue for Aniboom and our creators with more video advertising revenue sources.’
The expansion of Aniboom’s online network follows on the heels of the successful launch of the Aniboom-branded YouTube channel, which the company says has garnered more than 15 million views in its first eight months. Aniboom’s international community of independent cartoon creators will enjoy greater exposure with the new outlets.
Dailymotion is an independent video entertainment web site reaching more than 40 million unique viewers a month. Metacafe, which boasts more than 28 million unique monthly viewers, is launching an Aniboom channel with the exclusive ‘Aniblog,’ featuring commentary on current events in the news on a weekly basis. Veoh Networks is an Internet television service providing 28 million unique monthly viewers with online access to popular network Television series, independent productions and popular viral web videos. It will add three new channels: Aniboom Classics, Aniboom Funny and Aniboom Edgy. Online television network blip.TV will add to its lineup of original, serialized programming with two of Aniboom’s flagship programs, Aniboom Series and Aniboom Freestyle. Finally, video search engine blinkx has indexed more than 18 million hours of audio, video, viral and TV content, making it fully searchable and available on demand. The company has made more than 200 Aniboom independent short films easily accessible at www.blinkx.com
Aniboom has created a new production and distribution pipeline that yields 400 to 500 new shorts per month. The company’s Creators Studio allows animators of all levels to pitch, produce and monetize high-quality original animated content spanning a variety of genres for worldwide distribution. Animators are able to earn money based on the popularity of their creation within the Aniboom distribution network.
