Renegade Animation will introduce its latest production, an irreverent animated interstitial series titled Funny Face, at MIPCOM and MIPCOM Jr. in October. The series of 25 one-minute-long shorts for teens and tweens will be showcased for international broadcasters for the first time at the annual television market, which takes place in October in Cannes.
Funny Face presents the wry, high-spirited, adventures of Loud Mouth Lime, Jolly Olly Orange, Goofy Grape and their fruit-flavored pals. Featuring slapstick action and witty, comic dialogue, the show aims to capture some of the physical comedy magic of the classic Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes theatrical cartoons.
Children’s entertainment development company Fitzroy Media, lead by CEO Hamp Hampton, is handling international sales and licensing initiatives for the series, which is based on characters first introduced on drink packets made by Pillsbury in the 1960s. Renegade Animation’s previous credits include production of the popular animated series Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi and The Mr. Men Show.
