The FX Channel has officially picked up six episodes of a new half-hour animated comedy created by Adam Reed, co-creator of [adult swim]’s Frisky Dingo and Sealab 2021. The toon follows the adventures of master spy Sterling Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) at global spy agency ISIS, where ‘global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other.’
In addition to Benjamin, the cast includes Jessica Walter as his domineering mother and boss, Aisha Tyler as his ex-girlfriend, Agent Lana Kanee, Chris Parnell as ISIS comptroller and Judy Greer as lovesick secretary Cheryl.
Reed says, “I’ve been a fairly rabid fan of FX’s original programming for a long time, so I’m thrilled by the opportunity to become a part of it, and to bring our style of animation and comedy to such a fantastic line-up.”
