Los Angeles-based production company Animal Logic has expanded its staff, moved into a new location and completed design work, visual effects and animation on campaigns for Toyota, Kaiser and HBO.
Recent additions include art directors Ben Walsh and Fletcher Moules, and associate creative director Kevin Fitzgerald.
Walsh relocated from Animal Logic’s Sydney studio in June and recently directed an eco water-themed global spot for Toyota.
Fitzgerald joined the team following a five-year sting as associate creative director at Cartoon Network.
Moules, meanwhile, relocated from London, rejoining Animal Logic after two years with Nexus Productions.
Recently completed campaigns include the visual effects for an outdoor video installation that was part of the ‘Imagine’ campaign for HBO. They also provided postproduction and visual effects for three half-minute spots.
For ‘Ripple,’ a campaign for Toyota and its Prius hybrid car, a 30-secont spot directed by Animal Logic’s Ben Walsh was created. The spot follows a digital water droplet as it hugs the contours of the vehicle.
The studio also did visual effects for a pair of commercials ‘ titled ‘Emerald Cities’ and ‘Connected’ ‘ for Kaiser Permanente.
Animal Logic made the leap into feature film production with director George Miller’s Oscar-winning CG penguin flick, Happy Feet, which was animated in Australia.
