Ex-Teletoon Exec Levesque Joins Sardine

Madeleine Levesque, the former head of original production at Canada’s Teletoon network, has joined Sardine Productions in Montreal.

Levesque will head up Sardine’s development and production initiatives and will seek out and secure new projects for the company. She also will oversee projects as they move from development to script writing and pre-production.

Sardine, founded in 2002 by Ghislain Cyr, owns such properties as My Goldfish is Evil, Leon and Pea, Small and Sweet, which are broadcast in more than 75 territories.

Prior to her 10-year stint at Teletoon, Levesque worked with independent producer SDA Productions. She left the animation network to join 9 Story Entertainment in Toronto before returning to Montreal last year.

‘Sardine Productions has been enjoying strong growth for the past few years,’ said Cyr. ‘I know Madeleine’s work well and we look forward to exploiting her expertise and market intelligence in both production and development. She has already shown herself to be a valuable asset to our company.’
