The organizers of the Cartoon Forum will present the 21st edition of the show Sept. 14 to 17 in Sopron, Hungary ‘ the first new EU country to hose the event since it was founded in 1990.
Organizers report a 20 percent increase in projects submitted this year. Of 110 submissions received, 63 have been selected from 19 European countries. The projects represent some 360 hours of animation and have a total budget of more than 160 million euros.
France leads the line-up with 20 projects, followed by United Kingdom with seven projects and Spain with six. New EU member states Hungary, Poland, Croatia and Latvia are presenting 10 projects between them.
