The Jim Henson Co.’s hit preschooler series Dinosaur Train is getting ready to take a swim.
The company announced the Aug. 20 premiere on PBS Kids of a new one-hour special titled Dinosaur Train Under the Sea.
The special will follow Buddy and the Pteranodon family on an underwater adventure that reveals new underwater creators.
Dinosaur Train, created by Craig Bartlett (Hey Arnold!), explores preschoolers’ fascination with dinosaurs and trains and encourages basic scientific thinking and skills.
Dinosaur Train is produced by The Jim Henson Company, and co-produced with Singapore animation company Sparky Entertainment, with the participation and assistance of the Singapore Media Development Authority. U.K. production and financial support is being provided by Ingenious Media.
