Goosebumps creator R.L. Stine’s Gnasty Gnomes books are being developed as an animated comedy series for kids courtesy of Marblemedia and 9 Story Entertainment.
The series, aimed at ages 6-11, will launch with a demo at MIPCOM.
Gnasty Gnomes is about the Gnasty family, who engage in mischievous antics and disgusting pranks to make live more unpredictable for their human and animal neighbors.
‘Developing Gnasty Gnomes with an acclaimed company like 9 Story Entertainment allows us to combine creative forces to tell unique stories for this exciting new series,’ says Matt Hornburg, partner and executive producer at Marblemedia. ‘They produce great story-focused content for kids, and we’re very happy to be collaborating with them.’
The companies will share in distribution, with 9 Story handling Latin America, Italy and Spain, and Marblemedia’s distribution arm, Distribution360, handling all other territories. Additionally, Marblemedia is currently in discussions with potential licensees to market Gnasty Gnomes toys, games, and other merchandise.
