Six Point Harness to Animate Tom Hanks Webseries

Six Point Harness has been tapped by Playtone to create the sci-fi webseries Electric City, based on an idea by Tom Hanks.

The series will be comprised of 20 three-minute episodes that envision a thriving post-apocalyptic future and will be produced in conjunction with Reliance Big Entertainment in Mumbai, India.

“Our studio is excited to work on a project of this magnitude, not only because of the various platforms that it is capable of jumping to, but because of the high quality design work we will be providing to these A-list clients,” said Six Point Harness CEO Brendan Burch. “Being hired by Playtone and working with a distribution powerhouse like Reliance is definitely a testament to our body of work.”

The project will be directed by Six Point’s Joel Trussell, whose credits include projects with MTV, Wildbrain and Nicktoons.
