The Producer’s Guild of America has announced three nominees for its best animated feature honor, in what may be a preview of the eventual Oscars showdown. It also chose Toy Story 3 as one of ten nominees for the best picture of the year.
The nominees for the Award for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures are:
- Despicable Me. Producers: John Cohen, Janet Healy, Christopher Meledandri
- How to Train Your Dragon. Producer: Bonnie Arnold
- Toy Story 3. Producer: Darla K. Anderson
In a statement, How to Train Your Dragon producer Bonnie Arnold said: “To be recognized by your peers for something you love to do is both humbling and rewarding. I feel so fortunate to work with such an amazing crew and this nomination is for all of us.”

The winners will be announced Jan. 22 at an awards banquet hosted by Judd Apatow at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
