Animation Picture Co. Develops ‘Zombie Pet Shop’ Feature

The Animation Picture Co. has bought an original script titled Zombie Pet Shop to develop as a stereoscopic 3D feature film, Variety reports.

The original script by E.L. Katz concerns a pug dog named Joey who seeks an antidote for a zombie virus that has turned the pets and humans in a mall into zombies..

Producing the film will be Animation Picture Co’s John Davis, Brian Manis, Ash Shah, Dan Chuba and Mark A.Z. Dippe. Katz is co-producing with Jeremy Platt, who helped develop the project.

The Animation Picture Co., based in Sherman Oaks, Calif., has provided special effects and animation for such projects as Garfield Gets Real, Garfield’s Pet Force and S. Darko.
