Home video buyers who you want to be smarter than the average bear will be heading to Jellystone Park this week.
Yogi Bear (Warner Bros., $28.98 DVD, $35.99 Blu-ray, $44.95 3D Blu-ray) arrives on home video. The mix of live-action and animation featured the voices of Dan Aykroyd as Yogi, Justin Timberlake as Boo Boo, Tom Cavanagh as Ranger Smith and Anna Farris as Rachel. Directed by Eric Brevig, the film is based on the classic Hanna Barbera TV cartoon series. The DVD version of the film also is available in a double pack, Yogi Bear/Yogi the Easter Bear (Warner Bros., $29.95).
Yogi Bear grossed $99 million domestic and $100 million international at the box office for a worldwide total of $199 million.
Few in the fanboy set will want to miss out on The Venture Bros.: Season 4, Volume 2 (Warner Bros., $19.99 DVD) or The Venture Bros.: The Complete Season 4 (Warner Bros., $39.99 Blu-ray). Both releases feature episodes of the hit Adult Swim series uncensored, and with bonus audio commentaries.
Also arriving on disc this week is Bleach: Box Set 8 (VIZ Media, $49.95), Scooby-Doo 3-Pack Fun (Warner Bros., $19.97) and Strawberry Shortcake: Puttin’ On the Glitz (Fox, $14.98).
