It’s good to see businesses expanding and hiring, and people in VFX and animation getting new opportunities. Here’s a few recent moves:
- BIRD, a full-service, strategic branding agency based in Hollywood, has announced the launch of a full service Motion Graphics Department to be headed by Darrin Isono, who most recently was Senior Designer at Zoic Studios.
- MPC has announced that MPC L.A.’s former Head of Production (Advertising) Andrew Bell will be stepping into the role of Managing Director of the Los Angeles studio, a position previously filled by Mark Tobin.
- Ntropic has added Senior Inferno Artist MB Emigh to its creative team. CD/Founder Nate Robinson notes that MB brings years of experience as an artist and also a former company owner to her role at Ntropic. Recent projects Emigh has made creative contributions to include a music video for Rihanna, a television show for Discovery TV, and commercials for Bank of New York, Vizeo, Skechers, Frito Lay, Esurance, Franklin Templeton, Chevy, Skechers, Frito Lay, and a unique multi-commercial campaign for Ford airing weekly during the new season of American Idol.
