New Zealand-based Pukeko Pictures is close to completing production on the second season of the animated series the WotWots, which will air in the United States on The Hub.
The second season of the preschool series will consist of 52, 11-minute episodes.
Here’s a look at the series:
the WotWots is produced by Pukeko Pictures and made at Richard Taylor’s Weta Workshop. Pukeko Pictures is a partnership between Taylor, the co-founder and creative lead of Weta Workshop (The Lord of the Rings, King Kong), and author and children’s television creator Martin Baynton. Taylor and Baynton previously teamed up to create the award-winning children’s program, Jane and the Dragon.
“Children the world over are embracing the series and the unique cuddly characters and the pick-up of series two by The Hub is testament to this” said Taylor.
With broadcasts in 89 territories including Australia, Canada, Korea, Middle East and Poland, the WotWots was recently sold to HBO Family Latin America for PAY-TV and VOD rights.
