The final Harry Potter movie is just a week away, and fans all over the world are preparing to both celebrate the franchise and mourn its ending (at least for now).
Fans in the Southern California area will want to check out the Harry Potter Tribute Exhibition, opening tomorrow, July 9, at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra. The exhibition runs through Aug. 1 kicks off with an opening-day reception from 7 to 11 p.m. and features a costume contest, raffle prizes, giveaways, Harry Potter-themed drinks and snacks and a trivia contest.
The exhibit was gathered through private invitations, open submissions and the common love for all things Harry Potter. It features more than 50 artists and nearly 100 tribute works in paintings, sculptures and installations. Artists included in the exhibition include such notable names as Drew Struzan, Graham Annable, Kazu Kibuishi and William Stout.
