SLR Productions’ upcoming animated series Guess How Much I Love You—The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare may have a really long name, but that isn’t stopping TV buyers from snapping it up around the world. The latest broadcasters that have picked the show are TVO and Knowledge Network in Canada, which will premiere the show on September 10 at 8 a.m.
The animated series, featuring 52 11-minute episodes, is the first-time adaptation of the best-selling picture book, written by Sam McBratney and illustrated by Anita Jeram which has sold over 26 million copies worldwide. The traditionally animated series follows the adventures of the Nutbrown Hare family and their friends with the same endearing simplicity that has made the book timeless.
“Guess How Much I Love you is a beautiful and heartfelt tale about a nutbrown hare who loves his enchanting world and his meadow friends,” says exec producer Suzanne Ryan. “I am thrilled an Australian production will reach the hearts of Canadian families and hope it fills their homes with love, laughter, fun and adventure.”
According to the production notes, the series keeps love as the major theme and each adventure in the series has a particular season as its backdrop—the wildflowers of Spring, the long, lazy days of summer, the brilliant colors of autumn or the frozen landscape of ainter.
To date, the animated series has been picked up for broadcast in Australia, Germany, Finland and Sweden. The show will also be seen on Disney Junior in the United States.
