Scrawl, Cyber Group Team up for ‘Zou’

Singapore-based animation company Scrawl Studios has announced a co-production deal with French house Cyber Group Studios for its CG series Zou. The 52 x 11 preschool show has presold in 50 countries worldwide, with broadcasters including France 5, TeleQuebec and Disney EMEA on board—Zou is expected to premiere in Europe on Disney in Q2 of 2012.

The show is adapted from the popular children’s book series by Michael Gay that stars a five-year-old zebra in the process of earning his stripes. The project is the latest in Scrawl’s strong  slate of international co-pros, which include Guess How Much I Love You (with SLR Productions, Australia), Almost Extinct (CCI Entertainment, Canada/Coolframes Digiworks, Taiwan) and a first-look multi-year agreement with Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific.
