3-D ‘Lorax’ Comes to 269 IMAX Screens

The latest 3-D CG flick from Universal Pictures/Illumination Entertainment, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, will come to IMAX March 2, opening on 269 domestic screens simultaneously, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The IMAX launch will be concurrent with the film’s North American wide release. In addition, Lorax will open in seven international IMAX screens with additional runs set for the following weeks.

Directed by Chris Renaud and based on the book by Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel), the film stars the voices of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, Jenny Slate and Betty White and tells the cautionary story of the Lorax and his threatened ecosystem.
