Cake Promotes Pair, Adds Blayney as VP Intl. Sales

Cake Entertainment has named former Chorion exec Helen Blayney VP of international sales in a restructuring announced today.

At Chorion, Blayney worked on preschool properties including Noddy, Max & Ruby and Famous Five across territories including Scandinavia, Benelux, Ireland, Mediterranean, Eastern Europe, Israel, South Africa and the Middle East. She worked previously at Celador International, where she helped build Celador Kids’ international profile; and also for a range of children’s content owners including Contender, TV Loonland and The Jim Henson Company.

The restructure also includes two internal promotions: Marie-Laure Roche has been promoted to sales manager and will now be looking after Asia and French-speaking Europe, as well as Eastern Europe and Israel; while Bianca Rodriguez is promoted to sales executive and will be looking after Latin America territories.

“We’re delighted to welcome Helen to Cake — her wealth of experience in kids’ content will be a real asset to the company,” says Ed Galton, CCO and managing director. “At the same time, we also like to promote from within as Marie-Laure’s increased role and Bianca’s promotion demonstrates. The restructure is the perfect way to take Cake forward.”
