Call for Submissions: MIA Animation Festival

The MIA Animation Conference & Festival, presented by Miami International University of Art & Design, is seeking submissions for its 2012 event which is set to take place October 20 and 21. Animations of all genres—from character animation to scientific visualization—are invited to vie for participation in the Animation Festival & Theater programming. Entries must be received by September 15, 2012.

MIA Animation (www.miaanimation.com) is an industry conference focusing on computer animation, gaming, visual effects, motion graphics, film, web design and visual arts. The even will feature industry speakers, master classes, software demos and panels. This year’s speakers include Conrad Montgomery (Cartoon Network), Drew Tolman (Walt Disney TV Animation), Chris Bailey (animation supervisor, Alvin & The Chipmunks 1 and 2) and Mark Anthony Austin (The Third Floor) among representatives from software, gaming and more.
