The 2D animated feature Day of the Crows (Le Jour des Corneilles) will screen at the 2012 edition of the Spanish San Sebastian Film Festival in the New Directors sidebar. Based on the novel of the same title by Jean-Francois Beauchemin, the film is directed by Jean-Christophe Dessaint and was also screened out of competition at the 2012 Annecy Festival last June. Produced by Finalement, Melusine Productions, Walking The Dog and Max Films Animation, the movie will be released in France on October 24 by Gebeka Films. The storyline centers on a father and his son who live in isolation a forest. The child grows up fearing and admiring his father, and his only companions are the ghosts that haunt the forest. When he discovers a neighboring village, he meets a young girl whose love for him changes his life forever.
