Warner Bros. Serves Up New ‘Dark Knight’ Clip

Warner Bros. is riding the popularity of the Batman series with a new animated adaptation of Frank Miller’s Bat-epic The Dark Knight Returns. The new direct-to-DVD release takes place a decade after Bruce Wayne traded in the cape an cowl for a life of retirement and fine liquor. But, when Two-Face return, Bruce realizes that Gotham will always need its Caped Crusader to rid the city of criminals. A big bad gang known as The Mutants attempt to take over the city, and it’s up to Batman and his new Robin to take them down.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns – Part 1 is directed by Jay Oliva and written by Bob Goodman. The voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne is done by Peter Weller along with David Selby as Commissioner Gordon, Ariel Winter as Robin, Wade Williams as Two-Face, and Michael McKean as Dr. Bartholomew Wolper.

This exciting new entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original Movies, arrives September 25, 2012 from Warner Home Video as a Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD, On Demand and for Download.
