FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has appointed Carl Lumbard as head of licensing strategy and business development, kids and family entertainment, EMEA. Based in the London office, Lumbard will be responsible for the commercial development of brands within the Kids & Family Entertainment portfolio across EMEA, including identifying timescales, key licensing categories, best in practice licensees and retailers, and more.
Reporting to Mark Newton EVP Licensing EMEA and Dominic Burns SVP Licensing & Entertainment EMEA, Lumbard will be the link between the L.A.-based Kids & Family Entertainment content team, led by Sander Schwartz, and the licensing, home entertainment and television distribution teams across EMEA. He will work closely with the FME brand management & marketing team led by Kate Schlomann.
Lumbard has over 20 years of experience in international sales, marketing and licensing gained through managing globally recognized brands including The Simpsons, Family Guy, and the Ice Age franchise. He joins FME from 20th Century Fox where he spent nearly 14 years, most recently as SVP & Managing Director Licensing and Merchandising, EMEA; before that he held senior positions at Promotional Partners Worldwide (PPW) and Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
