European producer/distributor Millimages is launching a new app for iPad and iPhone, 64 Zoo Lane – Let’s Read Along with Alan, based on its popular children’s series. The app has the option to save up to three versions of the interactive book-reading assistance story, and is available in English, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. The app sells for 1.99 GBP on iTunes.
The app has been developed to assist and guide beginning readers, whether alone or with a parent. The story follows Alan, the shy aardvark, joined by Lucy and her menagerie of animal friends. Children are able to record and review themselves reading “The Story of Alan’s Catchy Tune” and save recorded version of a parent reading aloud to use as a guide, or as a personalized bed time story.
An animated preschool series comprised of four 26 x 11 seasons, 64 Zoo Lane centers on Lucy, a young girl who lives by the zoo and is each night fetched by her friend Georgina the giraffe to meet the animals and listen to their stories. Millimages holds all international TV and licensing/merchandising rights to the property.
