CN Gets Fresh ‘Annoying Orange’ Season

The smarmy produce pals of Annoying Orange return to Cartoon Network for a second season of fresh-squeezed hilarity starting Thursday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT. The series averaged close to 2 million viewers for all premiere episodes across its first season, and is back for more with new adventures and a line-up of guest voices including Dave Grohl, Kylie Minogue, Kellan Lutz, Olivia Munn, Rainn Wilson, Al Yankovic, Gilbert Gottfried, David Cross, Jack McBrayer, Carl Edwards, Maria Menounos and Kendall Jenner.

Developed and produced by entertainment management/production company The Collective, the distinctive animation/live-action hybrid show features Orange and his fellow fresh edibles and Nerville, proprietor of their fruit stand (Toby Turner). The series was co-created by Dane Boedigheimer, who created the viral hit web series the show is based on, and Tom Sheppard (Pinky and the Brain). Michael Green, Gary Binkow and Dan Weinstein of The Collective serve as executive producers. In addition to its broadcast and online presence, Annoying Orange has been squeezing in merchandising deals for toys, apparel, publishing, and more. The first season of The High Fructose Adventure of Annoying Orange is also coming to DVD on May 28.
