Bejuba! Entertainment’s children’s short-form series Fuzzy Tales has landed on Disney Junior in the U.S. Produced by Brain Power Studios in Canada, the pre-school show features live-action animals re-enacting beloved fairy tales in a CGI-hybrid world. The series will begin airing on Disney Channel and Disney Junior in the US beginning this Friday (April 5). Fuzzy Tales is also airing on Disney Australia.
“We’re delighted that Disney US has come on board. The series has immediately become a fan favorite on the CBC with its fresh storytelling, humor and cuddly animals” says Tatiana Kober of Bejuba! Entertainment, which also handles shows such as The Hive, Jibber Jabber and Stella and Sam.
The series is the first proprietary property launched by industry veteran Beth Stevenson’s media company Brain Power Studio Inc.
“We are overwhelmed with the audience’s reactions to Fuzzy Tales,” says Stevenson. “We continue to receive an outpouring from kids and families that are connecting with the characters and the show. It really demonstrates the power of pets and what they bring to our lives.”
The series takes place in Fuzzy Phil’s Pet Shop. Every afternoon, after the customers have gone, these adorable pets in waiting gather together for their own special story-time. With Gertie the Guinea Pig as Narrator, the animals act out stories to make each other laugh and giggle.
